Section 40 : Flap System
Completed Flap controls
Drilled the torque ttubes, primed the inside of the tubes, bolted everything together and torqued all the bolts. Very quick and straight forward. Then hooked the motor up to a little 12v power supply I had from some electronic device (don't know what it used to go to, was in my bin of misc power supplies). Everything works!, can lower and raise flaps. (Flaps themselves are not connected as the wings are not on) |
Start flaps, reorder parts
built control tubes. When aligning the outer arms, put the arm 160 deg off (wrong direction, but since it is at an angle, not exactly 180 degs. Ordered new parts and waiting for them to arrive. drilled safety wire hole in the flap actuator. |
